It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia .. And It's Effect on the City

It's Always Sunny .. or the official Title It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia premiered on FX in Summer of 2005. It immidiately made Philadelphia popular again , being a huge hit with Philly residents and Pennslyvania Residents alike . The show revovles around Charlie , Sweet Dee , Mac , and Dennis , the four them open a bar called Paddy's Pub in Philly . The great thing about this show , it stays true to its roots because it all filmed in Philly and the actors who play Mac , Charlie , and Dennis are all best friends from Philly . When they first shot the pilot , they shot it on a small Digitial Camera , and somehow executives at FX saw it , and decided they wanted to re-shoot parts of it and make it into a series on their network . They immdeditely shot 7 episodes for the 1st season and began airing in Aug of '05 . It immeditely became a cult hit as well . Critics and fans alike were calling it the next Seinfeld . Their tagline for Season 1 was ," It's Seinfeld , on Crack" . How FX got away with that I'll never know but it worked. In the second season , which premiered the summer after , added Danny Devito to the cast as Dennis ' and Dee's Father , Frank .

Some fans thought it was a stupid to bring him in , but he is an asset to the show . I believe that yes , His character is sometimes an annoyance to the show , he almost feels like it be better off without him . That the writers don't use him enough . Yet , him and Charlie together , makes it work . He's Charlie's partner in crime , and I think that's why they keep him on the show . He is also now one of the Producers , so he's not going anywhere . What makes this show so much fun to watch is the chemistry with all the characters . Charlie is always fun to watch , but they all are in their own ways . Charlie , is like Kramer on Seinfeld . He's so out there , sometimes you think what is this guy doing?? It just makes it more fun to watch . And it keeps getting better as the seasons go on . It just finished Season 3 back in November , and its finally coming back on Sept . 18th . It's gotten so popular that even Philly loves it . I remember when the 2nd Season was airing , They had a sign entering Philly saying ," You're Entering Philiadelphia , Home of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" , I don't know If they still have that sign yet to have it that early on in its run says people in Philadelphia approve that the show gives them a good reputation . And Honestly it's good publicity for Philly .

Like I said Before Every Season gets better and better , its one of the shows that the storylines don't matter , because there are none . Just like Seinfeld , you can miss an episode , and you won't miss any important storylines or subplot . I think that's what makes it fun too . You can watch it out of order , and still enjoy it , and not miss anything in between . This show is a cult hit for FX ,and I know it's going to be on for a while . With Rescue Me and alot of their shows struggling , this is their new hit in a way , after every other show is long gone .

Favorite It's Always Sunny Eps: The Gang Gives Back , Underage Drinking: A National Concern , Gun Fever , Dennis and Dee Go On Welfare, The Gang Solves the North Korea Situation , and Dennis Looks Like a Registered Sex Offender .

If you haven't seen this show , check it out , you won't look at Philly the same way again .
